MCC NEET MDS Counselling 2026: Round 1 & 2 Resignation Window Opens Tomorrow, Guidelines Released

MCC NEET MDS Counselling 2026: In a latest notification, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has notified that the window to apply for resignation of round 1 and round 2 seats will begin tomorrow, Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 9 AM. The development has been made in view of requests being received for resignation from NEET MDS 2026 candidates. The window will close sharp at 5 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. 

The dedicated portal will be launched on the official website at mcc.nic.in. The seat withdrawal facility will open for Round 1 and 2 Freeze/Float candidates who had earlier accepted their allotted seat through MCC counselling but now want to resign or withdraw from the seat. Candidates must note that this will be done with forfeiture of security deposit.

How to Resign NEET MDS Counselling Round 1 & 2 Seat?

Candidates will need to follow the mentioned steps to resign from their NEET MDS Counselling Round 1 & 2 Seats: 

1. Visit the official website at mcc.nic.in
2. Click on the MDS tab
3. Click on the dedicated link for resignation of seats 
4. Enter your credentials to log in 
5. In the dashboard, click on the link to apply for resignation 
6. Provide your details and check the consent box for processing 
7. Submit the form after careful review 
8. Download the confirmation page for future reference

MCC NEET MDS Counselling Round 1 & 2 Resignation 2026: Important Note for Candidates 

The candidates should take note of following instructions with reference to resignation:

• The FREEZE candidates who want to resign/ withdraw from their seat will have to physically report at the allotted institute to RESIGN.
• The FLOAT Candidates (not upgraded) are advised to ensure that they Resign / Withdraw their Round-1or Round-2 seat by logging into their account and generate Seat Withdrawal slip online, failing which the resignation will be treated as ‘Null & Void’.
• Candidates are advised to ensure that their Resignation Letter/ Seat Withdrawal slip is generated online through a portal provided by MCC failing which the resignation will be treated as ‘Null & Void’.
• Once Resigned/ Seat is Withdrawn, the candidate will have no claim over the resigned seat.
