Assam School Students: As per the reports, Assam's Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has announced that they are planning to vaccinate school students before the 10th and 12th Board exams 2022. The government and Education Department are prepared to begin Children's Vaccination under the new rules and around 18 lakh students are expected to get the jab.
Children's vaccination has proceeded in the country for those above 15 years of age as COVID-19 cases have been rising. Children's vaccination is scheduled to begin from today, 3rd January 2022 in Assam and other states.
Assam HSLC and HS Board Exams 2022
As per media reports, Assam Board exams 2022 are likely to be held in March/April 2022. However, the date sheet for the 10th and 12th exams has not been released as of now. According to the Education Department, the state government has planned to complete the vaccination of children under the new rules by the first week of March 2022.
Vaccination of Students in Assam
Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has also said to reporters that during this time, it is likely that the government will be able to fully vaccinate children. If this goes out well, Assam school students will be relatively safer for Assam Board exams 2022. According to the plan by Assam's government, children will be administered Covaxin as it has received approval.
Students from nearly 15 schools are expected to be vaccinated on a daily basis if everything goes according to the plan. However, as per the reports the government is likely to try vaccinating 10th, 12th Board Exam students on priority, however, an official confirmation is awaited.
Schools To Make Necessary Arrangements
The schools have been asked to make all necessary arrangements for vaccination. Children's Vaccination in Assam is expected to be done for nearly 18 lakh school students. Further, rules also mandate that the school in charge must ensure that students of private and venture schools also get the jab before Assam Board Exams 2022.
