Delhi EWS, DG, and CWSN Admissions: Important Dates and Verification Process
According to the official notification, the draw took place at 10 AM on April 6, 2026. Following the announcement of results, the DoE will inform selected candidates through SMS on their registered mobile numbers. The subsequent verification of documents for the allotted seats is scheduled to happen between April 9 and April 22, 2026.
To ensure a smooth process, the department has established 29 zonal teams to oversee the scrutiny of applications. Parents and guardians must offer important documents, including proof of date of birth, income certificates for DG, and disability certificates for CWSN. Allotted schools must complete the admission process by May 20, 2026.
The DoE has also introduced a grievance redressal mechanism. In case of any discrepancies or document deficiencies, applicants will be issued a deficiency memo, given until May 2 to rectify the issues. For those who miss the initial reporting window, a final opportunity for verification will be provided between April 23 and April 28. This computerised system aims to ensure transparency and fairness in the allocation of the 25% reserved seats mandated under the Right to Education, RTE, Act.
