A fire broke out at the Delhi University Students’ Union office in North Campus late Tuesday night. Five fire tenders were sent to the spot and no casualties were reported.

A fire broke out at the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) office at Law Centre-I in Delhi University’s North Campus late Tuesday night. According to the Delhi Fire Service, the incident was reported at around 11:53 pm on October 6.

The fire was limited to a sofa and other furniture inside the DUSU office. Five water tenders were rushed to the location after the fire was reported. Firefighters brought the blaze under control, officials said.

No casualties were reported in the incident. The available reports did not immediately provide details about the cause of the fire.

Fire At Delhi University DUSU Office Under Control

The incident took place at the DUSU office located within the Law Centre-I premises. The Delhi Fire Service responded to the alert and deployed five fire tenders to prevent the fire from spreading.

Officials said the blaze remained confined to furniture, including a sofa, and was brought under control. There were no reports of injuries or loss of life.

The incident comes as Delhi University’s North Campus remains a major hub for students, academic activities and student organisations. Law Centre-I is among the university’s prominent academic facilities in the North Campus.

The Delhi Fire Service confirmed that the fire was reported at 11:53 pm and that fire tenders were sent to the DUSU office. Officials also confirmed that the blaze was confined to furniture and that no casualties were reported.
