Karnataka SSLC 2026: The KSEAB has revised the Karnataka SSLC 2026 timetable, shifting the Third Language and NSQF exams from March 30 to March 31, 2026. This change follows the rescheduling of the Mahaveer Jayanthi public holiday to March 30. All other exam dates and timings remain as per the original schedule.

Key Points

  • Third Language exam moved from March 30 to March 31, 2026, due to holiday change.
  • Mahaveer Jayanthi holiday shifted from March 31 to March 30, 2026.
  • Exam timings 10.15 AM - 1.30 PM and other exam dates remain unchanged.

Karnataka SSLC 2026: The SSLC Examination-1 schedule for 2026 has been formally updated by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB), with a particular impact on the Third Language paper. The test, which was originally set for March 30, 2026, has been rescheduled for March 31, 2026, per the board's announcement published on March 26. A revision in the state government's Mahaveer Jayanthi holiday notification made this abrupt rescheduling necessary. The public holiday, which was originally scheduled for March 31, was rescheduled for Monday, March 30, making it impossible to hold board exams on that day. As a result, the KSEAB decided to utilize the following day, Tuesday, to hold the rescheduled language tests.

Hindi, Kannada, English, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Sanskrit, Konkani, Tulu, and other NSQF vocational disciplines are among the many subjects under the Third Language category that are impacted by this reform. The board has made it clear that the exam times, which are normally from 10:15 AM to 1:30 PM, have not changed.

Interestingly, the KSEAB observed that although the date printed on the actual question paper packets might still read "March 30," all chief superintendents and employees have been told to disregard this and adhere exactly to the revised date of March 31. All other tests, including Social Science on April 2, will continue according to the original November 2025 deadline; this is the sole modification to the entire SSLC schedule, which started on March 18.
