Delhi schools and colleges have announced changes to classes, examinations and campus activities scheduled for October 10 amid security concerns surrounding the proposed Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar. Many educational institutions in Delhi have shifted classes online, postponed examinations and rescheduled events, citing barricading, possible Metro restrictions and concerns over the safety and movement of students.
Delhi Police has denied permission for the proposed CJP protest, citing short notice, previous non-compliance with directions and the prevailing law-and-order situation. Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) is also in force in the New Delhi area.
