What Does Adaptive Testing Mean?
Adaptive testing is a system where the difficulty level of questions changes according to the candidate’s responses. For example, answering a question may lead to a more difficult question next, while an incorrect response may lead to an easier one.
Although this concept has been discussed in relation to competitive exams, officials have clarified that JEE Advanced 2026 will not adopt this format, and the traditional pattern will continue. This confirmation offers clarity to aspirants, allowing them to focus on preparing according to the existing exam structure.
