Eligibility Criteria for Project Scientist/ Research Associate & Other Posts

Educational Qualification

• Project Scientist/ Research Associate: Candidates should possess Ph.D in Aquaculture/Mariculture and M.Sc Degree in Zoology/ Aquatic Biology/ MFSc in Fisheries with specialization in Aquaculture/ Mariculture/ Hatchery operations.  Ph.D Degree in Aquatic Biology/Fisheries/Marine Biology with specialization in Aquatic Resource Management.
• Research Fellow: Master of Science in Zoology/Aquatic Biology/Fisheries with specialization in Aquaculture/ Mariculture/ MFSc Aquaculture. First Class Post Graduate Degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering/Food Technology or Post Graduate in Fisheries (with specialization in Aquaculture/ Mariculture/ Hatchery operations/Fish Processing Technology) /M.Sc. (Agri.) or M.Sc.Chemistry/Industrial Fisheries/M.B.A./M.Sc (Stat.) or B.F.Sc./B.Sc. (Agri.)/B.Tech. in Food Technology/Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering with MBA.
• Technical Assistant, Technical Assistant (Data Entry Operator): Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology/Aquatic Biology/Fisheries / BFSc. Bachelor degree Science Degree in Zoology/ Fisheries. Bachelor degree in Science Degree in Food processing/Food Science/Food Science and Technology or Food Technology. First Class or high second class Graduation in B.F.Sc./B.Sc. (Agri.) / Food Technology or B.Sc. Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry /M.C.A./M.B.A./M. Com /M.A.(Economics)/M.Sc (Stat.) /B.Tech.in Food Technology/ Computer Science/Chemical Engineering or Degree with PGDCA. Degree in Computer Science (Experience in data entry operation/ certificate in data entry).
• Director: First Class Post Graduate Degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering/Food Technology or Post Graduate in Fisheries (with specialization in Aquaculture/ Mariculture/ Hatchery operations/Fish Processing Technology) / M.Sc. (Agri.) or B.F.Sc./B.Sc. (Agri.)/B.Tech. in Food Technology/Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering with MBA. Ph.D. in the concerned subject or equivalent publications.

Age Limit

• Director: Upper age limit for the post is 65 years.
• Project Scientist: Upper age limit for the post is 45 years.
• Research Fellow, Technical Assistant, Technical Assistant (D.E.O): Upper age limit for the post is 30 years.
