RRB Group D Notification 2025: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is closing the applications for Group D, against CEN No 08/2024 Posts. A total of 32438 vacancies are announced by the railway. Candidates can apply online on or before the last date, which is 01 March.
Selected candidates will be called for the Computer Based Test, PET, Document Verification, Medical Examination and Empanelment.
The recruitment will done for Level 1 posts in various departments such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Technical Departments (Electrical, Mechanical and S&T) such as Helper/Assistant, Assistant Pointsman and other Level-1 roles.

RRB Group D Educational Qualification 2025
Candidates can check the educational qualifications below:
Diploma /Degree in Engineering will not be accepted instead of Course Completed Act Apprentices/ITI for the post of Level-1 unless otherwise specified. Graduate Act Apprentice will not be accepted in lieu of Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA). Those awaiting the result of the final examination of the prescribed minimum educational/technical qualification should not apply.

RRB Group D Selection Process 2025
The selection will be done on the basis of
- Computer Based Tests (CBT)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Document Verification (DV) and
- Medical Examination (ME)
RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2025
The mode of the exam will be online. Candidates will be given 100 questions on:
General Science - 25 questions for 25 marks
Mathematics - 25 questions of 25 marks
General Intelligence and Reasoning - 30 questions of 30 marks
General Awareness and Current Affairs - 30 questions of 30 marks
There shall be negative markings for incorrect answers in the CBT. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

How to Apply for RRB Group D Notification 2025
Applications are to be submitted online only through the link provided on the RRB website. The selected Railways are required to submit only one application for all the notified posts in this CEN. Candidates can apply for only one railway. All applications will be rejected if they apply to more than one railway. Any attempt by a candidate to submit more than one application under this CEN will lead to disqualification and expulsion.
Step 1: Visit the official website http://www.rrbcdg.gov.in/.
Step 2: Click on the 'New Registration' link.
Step 3: Register for the exam and submit the required information such as name, date of birth and father's name, mother's name, Aadhaar number, SSLC/Matric registration number, year of passing, mobile number, email id and then submit the registration form.
Step 4: After registration, candidates will have to verify their email ID and mobile number through OTP.
Step 5: Log in to the home page using the registration number and password.
Step 6: Fill the application for In Part I and In Part II
Step 7: On completing the application details, candidates are redirected to the payment page using online net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI and offline challan.
Step 8: Candidates had to choose the language of the exam.
Step 9: Candidates had to fill in the details of valid photo identity card.
Step 10: Enter the bank details to get the fees back.
Step 11 Candidates had to upload scanned images of their photographs and signatures as per the format and SC/ST candidates had to upload category certificates.
RRB Group D Application Fee 2024
- For PwBD / Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class (EBC) - Rs. 250. The amount shall be refunded in due course duly deducting bank charges as applicable on appearing in CBT.
- For other candidates - Rs. 500/-. An amount of 400 shall be refunded in due course duly deducting bank charges as applicable on appearing in CBT. Rs.500/-
