Zimbabwe scored 344/4 runs in 20 overs against Gambia in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Africa Qualifier B on Wednesday, surpassing Nepal's previous best of 314, set against Mongolia at the Hangzhou Asian Games in 2023.
Sikander Raza scored an incredible 133* off just 43 balls, including 15 sixes and 7 fours, becoming the first Zimbabwean to score a century in T20 internationals.
This outstanding performance by Zimbabwe not only secured their victory against Gambia but also set a new record for the highest team total in T20 international cricket.
Raza’s explosive innings featured aggressive stroke play as he dismantled the Gambian bowlers, effortlessly finding boundaries and clearing the ropes. He reached his century in just 33 balls, displaying remarkable skill and form.

Openers Brian Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani launched a ferocious assault on the Gambian attack, amassing a quickfire 98 runs in just 5.4 overs.
