KEA VAO Exam Pattern 2026
Before checking the paper review, it helps to know how the exam is structured. Here is the pattern candidates were tested on.

The exam is offline (OMR-based), with objective questions having four options each, in Kannada and English.
Paper 1 is General Knowledge: 100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours.
Paper 2 covers General Kannada, General English and Computer Knowledge: 100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours.
There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
A separate Compulsory Kannada Test carries 150 marks, is qualifying only, and needs a minimum of 50 marks.
