Will Banks Open On Tomorrow, 27 September?
On an instruction by the Reserve Bank of India, released on Thursday, all public sector banks and regional rural banks (RRBs) in India should remain operational on Sunday, 27 September. RBI has made this arrangement ahead of the three-day nationwide strike. The three-day nationwide strike is scheduled to start from September 28 to September 30.
Although the banks are given instruction to stay operational, services may vary due to staffing constraints and union-related concerns. On the other hand, all private sector banks are likely to follow regular Sunday closures.
Customers and students are advised to check with their branches in advance and complete essential banking work on time, that is, September 27.

Which Bank Services Will Work Ahead Of Bank Strike ?
The bank strike or bank holiday does not mean that you will be left with no service. You cannot visit the banks physically because they will remain closed, but the online services will work.
All the digital banking channels and other payment platforms like UPI will continue to work normally during the bank strike.
While physical branches of Public Sector Banks (PSBs) will face severe disruptions from September 28 to 30, 2026. While their backend settlement networks and self-service channels are automated and will operate 24/7 as usual.
