India have produced some positive results on the second day of the Asian Games 2026 medal events in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. India won 4 medals on Day 2, including 3 silver and 1 bronze, with a historic medal in mixed martial arts (MMA) for the first time in the history of the competition.

Asian Games 2026: How India Performed on Day 2?
India began Day 2 with a silver medal in the men's 10m air rifle team event. The Indian trio of Himanshu Dhillon, Rudrankksh Patil and Parth Mane finished second behind China to secure the silver medal for India.
Later, in the men's 10m air rifle individual event, Himanshu and Rudrankksh added two more medals for India. Dhillon won the silver medal, while Patil secured the bronze medal.
Apart from shooting, India also witnessed a historic moment in mixed martial arts. Suchika Tariyal became the first Indian athlete to win a medal in MMA at the Asian Games, securing a bronze medal in the women's traditional 60kg category.
In table tennis, both the Indian men's and women's teams defeated Pakistan 3-0.
In badminton, Lakshya Sen, Ayush Shetty and Kidambi Srikanth helped India defeat Bangladesh 3-0 in the men's team event and advance to the quarterfinals.
