The Central Board of Secondary Education has extended the last date for schools to upload the registration data of the students from classes 9 to 11. The last date for schools to upload the data on the website of the board is January 6, 2022.
Extension provided considering problems faced in registrations
The board has provided the schools with an extension taking into consideration the problems faced by students and parents. The board in a statement released stated that some of the schools are facing problems in completing the registration process for the students from classes 9 and 11 due to the ongoing conditions and looking into the problems the CBSE has decided to extend the last date for submitting the registration data.
The schools affiliated with the CBSE can register their class 9 and 11 students through the link on the official website where schools will be required to check the data including the name of the students and the parent's name, date of birth, and other data submitted by the students. It must also be noted that once the data is entered on the CBSE Registration portal it cannot be changed.
Indian students will be required to pay a registration fee of Rs. 300. Class 9 students studying abroad will have to pay Rs 500 for registration while class 11 students have to pay Rs. 600. Schools are also required to fill in the number of sections and number of students regularly on the OASIS platform and the data once entered cannot be changed. It must also be noticed that the board exam registrations must be in consonance with the OASIS data.
CBSE Term 1 Exams
CBSE Term 1 examinations for the class 10 and 12 students were conducted in December 2021. It is expected that the board will release the Class 10 and 12 Term 1 Results on the official website soon. The board decided to conduct the CBSE 10th and 12th board exams in two terms taking into consideration the problems faced during the pandemic last year with regard to conducting the examinations.
