India Post GDS Recruitment 2026: The India Post has released the notification for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Online Engagement Schedule-II, July-2026 on 20 August. The application process started from 02 September and the last date to apply was 22 September. Now, those candidates who have successfully completed their application and submitted till 22 September are eligible to make modifications in their applications. This means that no new applications can be submitted now. The candidates can edit details such as name, date of birth, choice preferences, and any other details submitted earlier. Steps to Edit India Post GDS Application 2026

To edit the application form, the candidates can follow the steps given below:

• Visit the official website at indiapost.gov.in/gdsonlineengagement.

• On the homepage, click on the “Click Here to Login” link.

• Now, click on Candidate Login > Proceed to Login.

• Enter your User ID and Password to login.

• Click on the Edit Application Form button.

• Now, you can edit each and every field in the application form.

NOTE: If the modifications involve any change in category requiring fee to be paid, such modifications will be applicable only if the candidate deposits the fee as per the prescribed procedure.

What Happens to the Previous India Post GDS Application?

Upon modification, the previous online application would be treated as null and void, and merit would be decided based on the modified application. Before submission of the modified application, applicants must check that they have filled correct details in each field of the form. After the expiry of 'Edit/Correction’ window, no change/ correction/ modification will be allowed in the application under any circumstances.
