Abhishek Sharma has done the unthinkable during the Afghanistan vs India 3rd T20I at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Thursday. The left-hand batter scored a breathtaking century, becoming the fastest ever T20I centurion among batters from Full Member nations.
Abhishek reached his century in just 30 deliveries, going past some of the game's legendary names, including Rohit Sharma and David Miller.
How Abhishek Sharma Scored Fastest T20I Century
After India were invited to bat first, the Indian openers started on a positive note, with 100 runs coming in the Powerplay. However, Abhishek was the front runner in the partnership with his blistering striking. He smashed massive sixes and crisp boundaries all around the ground.
He went on to score 108 runs in just 43 deliveries, including 9 fours and 11 sixes.
Abhishek eventually got out off Rashid Khan's delivery, with Rahmanullah Gurbaz completing the catch behind the stumps. Despite his dismissal, the innings will be remembered for a long time as Abhishek added another remarkable record to his name.
