India grabbed its second gold medal at the Asian Games 2026 on Friday, September 25. Indian shooters Kamaljeet and Suruchi Singh created history in the 10m air pistol mixed team event to finish on top of the podium.

Suruchi Singh and Kamaljeet Clinch Gold in 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team
Suruchi Singh and Kamaljeet clinched the gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event with a total score of 484.6 points. Their score also set a new Asian Games record.
The Indian duo dominated from the start and took an early lead in the opening series. They continued to maintain their advantage throughout the final and finished ahead of South Korea which won silver. Iran secured the bronze medal.
India started with 103.0 points in Stage 1 Series 1. The duo then increased their total to 202.4 in Series 2 and 303.5 after Series 3.
In Stage 2, India continued to hold the healthy lead with 364.7 points after Series 1. They reached 424.9 after Series 2 before finishing with 484.6 points.
