Karnataka SSLC Exam 2020: On Sunday, Karnataka Education Minister, Suresh Kumar said that students of Class 10 appearing for their Karnataka SSLC 2020 exams will be given a crash course before the exams. He was quoted saying that since there has been much of a gap between the classes conducted and the Karnataka Class 10 Board exams taking place, a review of the subjects for the Karnataka Class 10 Board exams will be given to the students. He said that this will help students with the revision of their subjects and allow them to be better prepared for the exams.
The Minister, last Thursday, said that the decision regarding the dates of Karnataka SSLC and 2nd PUC exam 2020 will be taken after the lockdown is lifted, i.e. after 14th April 2020. He also announced that the School Education Department had decided to promote the students of Classes 7 and 8 to higher class without annual exams while the students of Class 9 will be adjudged on the basis of formative and summative assignments submitted during the class tests conducted earler.
Karnataka SSLC exam 2020 was initially scheduled to be held between 27th March and 9th April 2020. The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) postponed the Class 10 Board exams keeping in view with the measures to contain the spread of COVID-19. The notice released by the KSEEB said that the revised dates of the Karnataka 10th Board exam 2020 will be notified by the Board later.
The Karanataka 2nd PUC Exam 2020 could not be held completely due to the prevailing situation surrounding COVID-19. Karnataka CET exam scheduled on 22nd and 23rd April 2020 had also been postponed amidst the lockdown. Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan said that the dates of all the exams postponed would be announced in the third week of April.
