Tripura TBSE Madhyamik Result 2020 Declared: Finally, Tripura Board has declared TBSE Madhyamik Result 2020 for the Class 10 students of the board today, ending the long and anxious wait of the students. Tripura Madhyamik Result 2020 was declared today morning at around 9 AM in in a press meet. TBSE Result 2020 for Class 10 students will be on official result portal i.e. tripuraresults.nic.in at 9:45 AM. In the press conference, Dipayan Debnath from Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan in Agartala was announced as the TBSE Madhyamik Topper 2020 for scoring a total of 488 marks. List of Toppers for TBSE Results 2020 along with other results highlights will be updated here shortly.

As per the announcements made in the press conference, a total of 48994 candidates appeared for Class 10 exams of which 22836 are males and 26158 are females.

Overall Pass Percentage @ 69.49%

Madhyamiik Exams 2020 Affected by COVID-19

According to the original datesheet announced in February, the TBSE 10th Class Exam 2020 was to be held between 2nd March and 31st March 2020. However, all papers or pending exams after 23rd March 2020 were postponed in the light of COVID-19 outbreak. The pending papers were expected to be held in July 2020, but after Supreme Court ruling on CBSE Pending Exams, the state government decided to cancel the pending papers and announce results directly.

Pending Board Exams Cancelled

Earlier, a leading media agency reported that the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has decided to cancel all the pending Madhyamik Board Exams for class 10 students. According to State Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath the decision to cancel the pending 10th Class Board Exam was taken following the Supreme Court decision on the pending CBSE board exam. Education Minister also confirmed that the results would be declared on 3rd July 2020 at 9 AM in the morning.

While the exams have been cancelled, the that modalities for evaluating the rest of subjects which didn’t go to examination would be announced shortly. TBSE president Dr. Bhabatosh Saha has also confirmed that the revised evaluation scheme for the cancelled papers will soon be notified by the board. Meanwhile, 39,000 students appeared in two segments – old syllabus and new syllabus for their Madhyamik examinations this year, starting from March 3.

As per the earlier datesheet, TBSE Madhyamik Exam 2020 was to be held from 2nd to 31st March 2020. The exams were supposed to be held till March 27, but a few papers of the old syllabus and Madrasa candidates were cut short due to the Covid-19 induced lockdown. However, now these papers stand cancelled.
