IIM Lucknow Placement Report 2019: 100% students placed in 3 days
IIM Lucknow has completed the final round of its PGP Placements for the class of 2019. Here are the important details about the placements at IIM Lucknow campus.
Afteer IIM A and IIM B, it is IIM Lucknow that has shared the news of completing 100% MBA placements of its 33rd PGP batch 2017-19 within 3 days. The batch comprises of 460 candidates and all of them have been placed with reputed brands with the aggressive efforts of the institute. In all, 147 recruiters visited the campus and offered impressive job profiles to help them kick-start their career aspirations on a good note. Out of all the sectors, consulting group took the lead by extending 32% offers to batch followed by Finance and Sales & Marketing that extended 16% offers.

Top recruiters were firms such as Amazon, Deloitte, Accenture, BCG and flipkart
First time recruiters were firms such as Artefact, ACT, Axis Capital, Bain & Company, IQVIA, KOIS Invest, Ola, Optum, Udaan, Whiteboard Capital, Xiaomi among others
International placements also made their way in the Placement Drive of 2019. Firms such as Artefact, IQVIA, and Splash (Landmark group) showed keen interest in recruiting the candidates. So here is the sector-wise placement report of IIM Lucknow:
IIM Lucknow Placement 2019: Sectoral Analysis
In this year’s placement drive, IIM Lucknow has welcomed many new firms in the campus this year; however, the highest placement was recorded in the domain of consulting (32%) among the candidates. This sector was followed by Finance and Sales & marketing with each one them recruiting 16% of the batch strength. Firms in the domain of E-commerce also managed to recruit 15% of the candidates. While, brands in the domain of general management and IT recruited 14% and 10% respectively.

FMCG/Telecom/Digital Media Sector
Candidates received 70 offers from this sector from renowned firms such as Dr. Reddy’s, GSK, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, P&G, Pepsi, Puma, Samsung, Star TV, Airtel and Colgate Palmolive. Roles in various functional areas such as supply chain management, IT, corporate finance, HR and analytics were offered to the talented pool of candidates. Profiles in the domain of traditional sales & marketing roles along with some exclusive roles were also offered to the bright candidates from IIM-L.
This sector also saw some major brands coming to the campus. From Wipro, Flipkart, Amazon to Google, one of the best brands were there on the campus to recruit the future managers of IIM Lucknow. Roles in profiles such as sales enablement, business development, supply chain management, product marketing, strategic alliances, program manager, category management and analytics were offered to the job aspirants.
In the Banking and finance and insurance sector, candidates were recruited by eminent firms such as Axis Capital, Avendus Capital, Citibank, DBS, Edelweiss, ICICI Bank, JP Morgan Chase, KOIS Invest, Kotak Bank, Whiteboard Capital and among others. The job profiles which were extended to the candidates from this sector ranged from front end investment banking, global markets, investment research, corporate/wholesale/retail banking, market research, trading, to operations and many more. The diverse set of profiles benefitted the campus and also enabled the candidate have hands on best of the roles to begin their career.
General Management Sector
Well-known brands such as Aditya Birla Group (ABG), Airtel, Hinduja Group, Lodha Group and RPG among other brands participated in the drive and recruited the candidates from the class of 2019.
Consulting Sector: Leading Recruiter at the campus
This sector took the cake with 32% placements on the campus. International and national brands namely Accenture, Alvarez & Marsal, Bain & Co, McKinsey & Co and the Boston Consulting Group among others extended 145 offers. And the good part is that Accenture, Deloitte, and the Boston Consulting Group stood as the top 3 recruiters in the placement drive.
