UPSC Results 2024 OUT: Aditya Srivastava Topped, List of toppers with name and Marks at upsc.gov.in

UPSC has released the category wise cutoff marks for preliminary, main and interview. This year the cutoff of prelims for the general category is lower as compared to the previous three year cutoff which is 75.41. The cuoff for 2022 was 88.22, 2021 was 87.54, 2020 was 92.51. As per the past trends, this is the lowest cutoff in the past five years.

This year the cutoff for the mains exam is also lower than the previous 2 year cutoff which is 741. The minimum qualifying marks for the main examination of 2022 and 2021 was 748 and 745 respectively.

The UPSC has released the list of selected candidates for the CSE examination 2023 on April 16, 2024. The Prime Minister also took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate the selected candidates. He posted on his X (formerly Twitter) handle that, " I want to tell those who didn’t achieve the desired success in the Civil Services Examination- setbacks can be tough, but remember, this isn't the end of your journey. There are chances ahead to succeed in Exams, but beyond that, India is rich with opportunities where your talents can truly shine. Keep striving and exploring the vast possibilities ahead. Wishing you all the very best."

As per the list released by UPSC, a total of 180 candidates were selected for IAS: 37 for IFS, 200 for IPS, 613 for Central Services Group ‘A’ and 113 for Group ‘B’ Services. Check the table for category-wise selected candidates

Note: Earlier in the official notification, 1105 vacancies were announced for various posts. However, the commission has changed the number to 1143 vacancies.

Animesh Pradhan, AIR 2 rank holder in the UPSC CSE 2023 examination, hails from Odisha. He has done B.Tech. from NIT Rourkela and is currently working as the Information System Officer at the esteemed Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

Aditya Srivastava (AIR 1), topper of the IAS Examination, is an IIT Kanpur graduate. Currently, Mr. Srivastava is undergoing Indian Police Officer training at National Police Academy, Hyderabad. In his previous attempt, he secured the 236th rank.

Ananya Reddy, AIR 3 in the UPSC 2023 exam, is the female topper of this year. She is an alumni of Mirinda House and has completed her graduation from geography. Ms. Reddy opted for antrhropology as her optional subject in the Civil Services exam. UPSC Result 2024: UPSC has released the final result on April 16 with Aditya Srivastava (2629523) getting the AIR 1 rank which is further followed by Animesh Pradhan (6312512) and Donuru Ananya Reddy (1013595). Check the table for list of the top 20 candidates.

With the final results, the commission will release the roll number and name of the candidate. The candidate securing the highest marks will be at the top of the list, which also signifies the exceptional performance of candidate in main examination and interview
