IPL playoffs are knockout matches that are played between 4 top-finishing teams in the IPL points table. There are three stages in the IPL playoffs, which are referred to as qualifiers, eliminators, and finals, respectively.

What are Qualifiers in IPL?
Qualifiers refer to the knockout matches in the IPL where the top finishing teams fight it out in the middle to qualify for a place in the finals of the IPL.
There are two qualifiers in the IPL which are referred to as Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2. The Qualifier 1 is played between the teams finishing 1st and 2nd in the IPL points table, while the Qualifier 2 is played between the loser of Qualifier 1 and the winner of the Eliminator.

What is an Eliminator in IPL?
Eliminator is a knockout match played between the 3rd ranked and 4th ranked teams in the IPL points table. The winner of the eliminator gets to play the loser of Qualifier 1 in a match known as Qualifier 2 of the IPL.

The IPL final is the final match of the IPL season; it is played between the winners of Qualifier 1 and 2 to determine the winners of the IPL season.
