Important Highlights from the Previous Year Cutoff Marks for Aspirants
Understanding the previous year cutoff marks for the NICL AO for Generalist and Specialist posts helps candidates prepare their study plan accordingly. Given below are a few important highlights that candidates should read about before appearing for the NICL AO exam 2026:-
- In the Generalist streams, competition drives the UR, OBC, and EWS cutoff marks close to 80 marks out of 100. Candidates should consistently aim for 82-85 marks in practice mocks to maintain a safe score margin.
- Candidates who will appear for the Legal, Finance, or IT Specialist stream may face a lower overall cutoff (37 to 66 marks range) compared to Generalist posts, though professional knowledge sections require higher accuracy.
- Final selection is strictly dependent on Phase -II Mains score and Interview performance of the candidates. Candidates are advised to perform strongly above the minimum Mains cutoff marks to improve their overall merit positioning.
