Factors Affecting The NICL Assistant Prelims Result 2026
Candidates who appeared in the Phase I prelims exam for Assistant posts should have to be acquainted with the crucial factors affecting the result and the qualifying marks mechanism. Candidates will have to qualify in each test/section in the prelims exam by securing passing marks to be decided by the Company. Candidates should be aware that an adequate number of candidates, state-wise and category-wise, as decided by the Company (approximately 15 times the number of vacancies subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.

What's Next After NICL Assistant Prelims Result 2026?
All those candidates who have been shortlisted in the prelims exam will have to appear for the online main examination followed by the Regional Language Test. The scores obtained by the candidates in the online main examination will be considered in assessing their performance for final ranking, subject to their qualifying the Regional Language Test. Candidates should be sufficiently high in the Merit List to be shortlisted for the subsequent Recruitment process. Candidates applying for a vacancy under a State / UT other than their domiciled State / UT, have to appear and qualify the Regional Language Test in the language of the State / UT for which they have applied. The Regional Language Test will be of a qualifying nature only.
