The SSC CGL Tier 1 examination will be conducted in multiple shifts. The exact shift and reporting time is mentioned on the SSC CGL Tier 1 Admit Card. Candidates are advised to check their individual hall ticket for the examination details.

SSC CGL Exam Day Guidelines 2026
Candidates who will appear for the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam must follow all the instructions issued by the Commission. Some important points to keep in mind are given below-

Candidates should carry a printed copy of the SSC CGL Tier 1 Admit Card to the examination centre.
Candidates should also have one original valid photo ID proof for verification.
The details on the photo ID, particularly the date of birth must match with the details mentioned on the Admission Certificate. In case of a mismatch, additional original proof can be needed.
Candidates must reach the venue before the reporting time to complete verification and other entry formalities.
Candidates should read and follow the instructions displayed on the computer screen and those given by the invigilators.
Candidates must keep their face clearly visible during the examination as live photographs will be captured during the exam.
Those who are found using unfair meanings there candidates shall be cancelled by the commission according to the prescribed norms.
