UPSC ESE 2027: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2027 on 16 September 2026 and the application process started from 16 onwards. Today is the last date to apply for the ESE 2027. Therefore, the candidates who are preparing for the ESE exam should apply well in time to avoid missing the chance. The application forms are required to be filled through the UPSC Online Application Portal at upsconline.nic.in. Candidates are required to register first and then only they will be able to access the application form. The UPSC ESE Preliminary examination is scheduled for 31 January 2027.

How to Apply for UPSC ESE 2027
The candidates can follow the steps provided here to apply for the UPSC ESE 2027:

Visit the official UPSC Online Application Portal at upsconline.nic.in.
On the homepage, click on the Login button (if you are already registered).
Login either through your mobile number, URN, and Email.
After login, fill your details as required in the application form.
Pay the application fee as applicable.
Submit the form after carefully reviewing the application.
Save a copy of it for future reference.
UPSC ESE Application Fee 2027
Candidates (except Female/SC/ST/PwBD who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs. 200/- either by using net banking facility of any bank or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment for appearing in the Engineering Services Examination, 2027.
UPSC ESE 2027 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates have to fulfil certain eligibility criteria as per the category they are applying for. These criteria include educational qualification and age limit.
Educational Qualification

Degree in Engineering from a recognized Indian University or Deemed University. OR

Passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India). OR

Degree/Diploma in Engineering from a recognized foreign University/Institution. OR

Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India). OR

Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II & III/Sections A & B of the Aeronautical Society of India. OR

Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London (held after Nov 1959).
