The Women’s Asia Cup 2026 has now reached its knockout stage, with India Women set to take on Bangladesh Women in the semi-final on Thursday, September 10.
Led by Harmanpreet Kaur, India have been dominant in the league stages and will once again enter as favourites to make it to the final with several players in red-hot form. Smriti Mandhana has been particularly impressive, scoring a record-breaking century against Thailand, while being well supported by Shafali Verma.
Coming to Bangladesh, they have lost only one game against Sri Lanka while making it to the semi-finals. They hold all the capabilities to cause an upset in this game and march into the final.
Soumya Mustari has been good so far with the bat, but her strike rate has been a concern. Meanwhile, in the bowling department eyes will also be on young Marufa Akter, who has shown flashes of brilliance in this tournament.
