Richest People In India: M3M Hurun India Rich List 2026 list is out, and so are the names of the big billionaires of India. As per the newly released list, Mr Gautam Adani and his family have reclaimed the top spot. He sits at the top of the table as the wealthiest individual. He has overtaken Mr Mukesh Ambani.

The latest list has new names, giving a hint of how India’s billionaire club is rapidly growing. The total billionaire club now stands at a historic and whopping 391 dollar billionaires this year.

The table topper is Gautam Adani & family with approximately ₹9,22,800 crore because of his Adani Group (Infrastructure and Energy). At the second position is the once table topper, but now in the second position, Mukesh Ambani, with not very far behind, at Rs 8,63,400 crore with his Reliance Industries (Diversified). At third position is L.N. Mittal & family with Rs 3,39,300 crore and his company ArcelorMittal (Steel).

The 2026 list shows a major shift in the wealth rankings of Indians. Basically, the dynamics have shifted rapidly if we see the list. The latest list also includes different names and higher rupee-denominated wealth figures. Compared with 2025, the ranking reflects changes in wealth levels, business performance and billionaire representation.

Collectively, the wealth of these Indian tycoons has reached a staggering ₹98 trillion (approximately $1.1 trillion - $1.2 trillion), a sum that not only surpasses the entire GDP of Saudi Arabia but also represents about one-third of India's own GDP.
