RRB Station Master Exam 2026: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced various changes to the Station Master recruitment examination for the year 2026. The revised rules consist of a single Computer Based Test (CBT) inclusion of English Comprehension and an examination duration of 120 minutes. RRB Station Master Exam 2026: What Has Changed?
The revised examination pattern brings changes to the CBT structure, syllabus and duration. Candidates must focus on these changes while planning their preparation. The key changes are given below for better understanding

Single CBT: The revised structure consists of one Computer Based Test instead of the earlier two stage CBT process.
English Comprehension: English comprehension questions have been included in the revised syllabus from this year.
120 minute exam: Candidates will get 120 minutes to complete the CBT from the earlier time duration of 90 minutes.
Revised syllabus: The examination will cover multiple sections such as mathematics, data analysis, logical ability and mental reasoning.

RRB Station Master Recruitment 2026: Single CBT Instead of Two
One of the changes is that now candidates will have to appear for a single CBT exam. Under the earlier exam pattern candidates had to appear for CBT 1 and CBT 2 before proceeding to the next stage.
The new exam structure will consist of 100 marks and candidates will get 120 minutes to complete the exam. A negative marking of 0.33 marks is applicable for incorrect answers . After qualifying in the CBT candidates must appear for the CBAT those who qualify will then move to the next stage which is document verification and medical test.
English Comprehension Added to the RRB Station Master Syllabus
RRB station master exam will now consist of questions from the English Comprehension section. For this, candidates must practice reading passages, understanding its meaning and then answer question based on the text
