School Holiday October 12: Schools in India are likely to follow their regular schedules on Monday, October 12, 2026, as no nationwide school holiday has been confirmed for the date. However, school timings and closures may vary across states and districts depending on local government orders, weather conditions and the autumn or festive vacation schedule.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds in several parts of the country over the coming days. These weather conditions could lead to local school closures if district administrations issue safety advisories. Parents and students should check the latest notifications from their respective schools before leaving home.
