Students from Mumbai University Institute of Distance and Open Learning have claimed that they were unable to write the final year exams for the different programmes due to several glitches. The institute has thus decided to conduct re-examinations for the students who were unable to appear for the exams.

According to the statement released by the institute the re-exams for the third year, B.Com students will be conducted on October 9, 2020, while the third-year BA exams will be conducted on October 14, 2020,

IDOL Spokesperson Vinod Malale stated that there is no information has yet been released on the exact cause of the glitches faced by the students. The statement issued also mentions that the rescheduling will be done for the students who could not appear for the exams. The institute also does not have data on the exact number of students who could not take the exams although the issues by students from, B.Sc programme is fewer since the number of students under the programme is also fewer.

The regular and repeater candidates for the BA, B.Com and B.Sc programmes are being conducted online from October 3 to 17, 2020. The next exam will be conducted on October 6, 2020.

After the students experienced glitches during the exams, the state Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant stated that each university has been directed to conduct re-exams of students who could not appear for the exams due to the technical glitches.
