OPSC OCS Salary 2026: The salary structure varies for both Group A and Group B services. The Group A services get the salary Level-12-Cell-1 in the 1st schedule of Pay Matrix and Group B services has the salary structure in Level-10-Cell-1 in the 1st schedule of Pay Matrix. OPSC OCS Salary 2026

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) conducts the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) examination to recruit eligible candidates into various administrative services in the State of Odisha. The candidates who are appointed as officers under the OCS have greater perks in terms of salary structure, hikes, secured job, and career growth.

The OPSC OCS salary is determined according to the Odisha Revised Scales of Pay (ORSP) Rules, 2017 and follows the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix. Officers selected through this exam are placed in either Group A or Group B services, with corresponding pay levels and scales.

At the entry level, the salary for OPSC OCS officers is structured based on service group:

OPSC OCS In-Hand Salary

The salary structure of an OPSC OCS officer includes:

  • Basic Pay: It is determined as the pay per level under the ORSP Rules. The Basic Pay for OPSC OCS is ₹56,100 for Group A services.

  • Dearness Allowance (DA): It is the allowance paid by the government to adjust inflation. At present, 12% of basic pay is given as DA.

  • House Rent Allowance (HRA): It is provided by the government based on the city/ town of accommodation. It is 8% of the Basic Pay.

  • Travel Allowance (TA): For official travel expenses as per entitlement.

  • Other Allowances: Includes medical allowance, pension benefits under NPS, and related perks.

OPSC OCS Per Month Salary 

The per month salary/ in-hand salary of an employee is calculated as the income received after all the necessary deductions like Provident Fund (PF), income tax, and other contributions. For new entrants into the services, the per month in-hand salary is around ₹75,000 per month (approx.).

This means while the basic pay starts around ₹44,900 (for Group B) and ₹56,100 (for Group A), the combined perks and additions push the take-home salary higher.

Perks & Allowances for OPSC OCS Officers

Officers working with the Odisha government are entitled to the following perks and allowances:

  • Dearness Allowance (DA): This is provided to adjust inflation and maintain the purchasing power parity.

  • House Rent Allowance (HRA): It is provided to the officers to whom the government accommodation is not provided.
