Labour Welfare Scholarship 2026: Benefits and Course Wise Amounts
The scheme covers eligible children of Beedi Cine Iron Ore Manganese Ore Chrome Ore Limestone and Dolomite workers. These groups are known together as LSDM workers. The yearly amount depends on the class or the course that a student joins. Benefits range from Rs 1000 to Rs 25000 per year.The scholarship amount is transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer. The payment depends on the eligibility rules and the verification of the application.

Who Can Apply for the Labour Welfare Scholarship
Applicants must study in regular courses at government recognised institutions in India. The level starts at Class 11 and goes up to postgraduate or professional study. They must have passed the previous qualifying examination on the first attempt.
The parent must have at least six months of continuous service as an eligible beedi cine or mine worker. Qualifying contract workers and manual workers are counted for this rule. For beedi and cine workers the monthly family income must not cross Rs 10000. Manual unskilled and clerical mine workers can apply at any wage level. Supervisory and managerial mine staff must stay below Rs 10000 per month.

- Bank passbook copy showing the account details and the IFSC code
Note: The bank account must meet the scheme requirements for receiving DBT payments.

- Visit the official National Scholarship Portal.
- Complete Aadhaar based OTR registration with the NSP process.
- Log in with the generated OTR ID and password.
- Select the scheme titled Financial Assistance for Education to the Wards of Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM Workers - Post-Matric.
- Enter the required details and upload the supporting documents.
- Review the application and submit it before October 31 2026.
- Save the acknowledgement and follow the institution instructions for verification.
