Assam HS Final Exam 2027: Exam Dates, Registration, Passing Marks & Result Evaluation Rules
Assam HS Exam 2027: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has introduced a uniform 33% separate passing rule for theory and practicals starting from the 2027 HS Final Exam. Form fill-up runs from November to December 2026, with practicals in January 2027 and theory exams scheduled for February–March 2027.
Assam HS Exam 2027: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB, Division-II previously known as AHSEC) holds the Higher Secondary (HS) 2nd Year Final Exam throughout the state. From the academic year 2026-27, ASSEB has adopted uniform standards for qualifying and assessment patterns in accordance with the national education criteria for higher secondary assessments. Within the revised system, candidates have to attain a minimum of 33% marks in theory as well as in practical/internal assessment separately for every subject.
For example, in a theory paper of total 70 marks, the candidates need to obtain at least 23 marks and 10 out of 30 marks in the corresponding practical paper in order to clear the exam. The procedure of online application filling for 2027 final exam is scheduled to be held during November to December 2026, while the practical exams are expected to be held during the latter part of January 2027 and the theory exams are scheduled to be held during February-March 2027. The aggregate marks in top performing subjects will decide the final division; getting 60% or above will result in First Division, while 45%-59.9% will be Second Division and 33% to 44.9% will get Third Division.
