UGC NET Syllabus 2026: The UGC NET syllabus has been released along with the official notification bulletin of the UGC NET 2026. The candidates can download the syllabus from the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. This year, the UGC NET exam includes 2 more subjects other than the 85 subjects. These subjects include Statistics and Forestry. The UGC NET exam involves two parts- Paper 1 and Paper 2. The candidates are required to appear for both the papers. Candidates who qualify the UGC NET exam shall be eligible for appointment to the post of "Assistant Professors" and "Junior Research Fellowship" (JRF) or take admissions in a PhD course in Indian universities and colleges.

The UGC NET syllabus 2026 consists of two parts- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Part 1 is for the teaching aptitude and is common for all the candidates. Paper 2 is related to the subject-concerned. There are a total of 85 subjects to be chosen from for Paper 2. Now, this number has increased to 87 with the inclusion of Statistics and Forestry subjects.
