Karnataka Examination Authority will begin the UG NEET Counselling Round 2 option entry process today, September 7, 2026. According to the official notification issued, eligible candidates can enter their choices from 2:00 PM on September 7, 2026, to 2:00 PM on September 9, 2026, through the login on the official website.
The option entry applies to those candidates who selected choice-2 and choice-3 after NEET UG Round 1 counselling. To enter the choices, candidates must visit the official website and log in with their CET number. When entering the choices, students must make sure the choices are in order of preference. Candidates must save the choices before clicking on submit.
The Karnataka UGNEET round 2 option entry link will be activated at cetonline.karnatala.gov.in. Candidates will also be provided with a direct link on this page to enter the choices for allotment.

Karnataka UGNEET 2026: Who can Participate
Karnataka UGNEET 2026 round 2 option entry window opens today. The following is the eligibility criteria for students to participate in the counselling round.

Candidates who selected Choice-2 or Choice-3 after the first round UGNEET 2026 results
Candidates who were not allotted any seat in the first round
Candidates who opted for Choice-4 in the UGCET $2^{nd}$ Round Seat Allotment, subject to the availability of Medical or Dental options in their option entry list.
Karnataka UGNEET 2026: Instructions for Option Entry
Candidates entering the choices for the second round of seat allotment must keep the following instructions in mind

The choice filling begins at 2 PM today, September 7, 2026 and concludes at 2 PM on September 9, 2026.

Students must make sure they log in to the portal before the deadline and prioritise, save and submit the options

As seats which may get cancelled/ forfeited/ newly added will also be published from time to time, candidates are advised to keep checking the KEA website

Further, the seats will be considered for allotment as a result of consequential vacancy that may arise during the seat allotment. Candidates are hence advised to retain all options they are interested in choosing, irrespective of seats shown in the seat matrix

Candidates must take a printout of the options submitted for further reference
Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 Virtual Vacancies

Seats held in Choice-2 of first round candidates will be displayed as virtual vacancy

Choice 2 candidate from the first round upgraded in the second round vacates the first round seat

The vacated seat will be offered to the next eligible candidate in the second round, provided such an option is available in the candidate option entry.

All second-round eligible candidates are advised to retain such options if they are interested

Admissions to round 2 will be conducted based on merit and options entered by candidates. The date for the announcement of the round 2 provisional allotment will be notified by KEA on the official website soon. Candidates are advised to keep visiting the website for latest updates.
