This year, 199944 or 8.43 per cent students have secured 90 per cent or more marks in the CBSE Class 10 board examination. 

Noida region recorded a pass rate of 89.41% in the CBSE 10th result 2025. Regions like Patna (91.90%) and Dehradun (91.60%) outperformed it, while Guwahati remained the lowest at 84.14%. 

The overall pass percentage of CBSE students from Delhi is 95.14 per cent.

In the CBSE Class 10 exams 2025, as many as 26675 schools participated. The Class 10 CBSE exams were held in 7,837 exam centres.

A total of 1,99,944 candidates have secured more than 90% in the CBSE 10th result 2025. This constitutes 8.43% of CBSE Class 10 students. 

 CBSE-affiliated schools outside India demonstrated exceptional performance with a 98.57% pass rate in 2025. Out of 29,745 students who appeared for the exams, 29,320 passed. 

Guwahati has recorded the lowest performance among all regions in the CBSE 10th result 2025. The overall pass percentage for this region stands at 84.14%. 

Children With Special Needs (CWSN) have achieved an impressive pass percentage of 96.02% in the CBSE Class 10 board exams. Among them, 411 students scored above 90%, and 66 crossed 95%, showcasing remarkable determination and the effectiveness of inclusive academic support.

Girls have once again excelled in the CBSE Class 10 exams. The overall pass percentage of girls stands at 95.00% while boys have achieved 92.63%, a 2.37% difference. 

This year, in the CBSE 10th result 2025, a total of 1,41,353 students have been placed in the Compartment category. This constitutes 5.96% of the total examinees.

In the CBSE 10th result 2025, independent (private) schools have achieved a 94.17% pass rate. JNVs have a pass rate of 99.49% while KVs have 99.45% students passing the exam. Government schools, in contrast, have recorded a pass percentage of 89.26%, while aided institutions are at 83.94%.

CBSE Results 2025 Live: Bengaluru records 98.90% pass rate in Class 10

Bengaluru has maintained its top-tier academic standing with a 98.90% pass percentage in the Class 10 CBSE exams 2025. Trivandrum and Vijaywada tied for the top spot at 99.79%, while Chennai was also strong with 98.71%.

A total of 45,516 students, representing 1.92% of all candidates, have scored more than 95% in the CBSE Class 10 exams 2025. Additionally, 199,944 students (8.43%) scored over 90%, showcasing a large group of high achievers across India’s student base.

Of the total 23,85,079 students registering for the CBSE Class 10 results, as many as 23,71,939 students appeared. The total number of students passing is 22,21,636 and the overall pass percentage this year is 93.66.

The Class 10 CBSE result is out. 93.66 per cent of students pass.

The overall pass percentage for the CBSE 12th exam result has improved by 0.41%. This year, the percentage of students in class XIl is 88.39%, which is better than the pass students were of last year i.e.87.98% of the 2024 examination.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the CBSE Board 10th Results 2025 soo,. It is expected that the CBSE 10th Results will be announced on May 13, 2025 later half of the day. This lifelong digital identity will consolidate academic and extracurricular achievements on a secure platform, integrated with DigiLocker for easy access and management of records. APAAR ID aims to simplify storage, facilitate credit transfers and verification, and enhance educational flexibility for students. APAAR benefits students with a unified identity, academic mobility, lifelong learning support, and skill gap analysis, while aiding schools through streamlined operations and digital data analytics for improved academic management.

Relaxation for Teachers: By keeping evaluation work closed on Sundays and holidays, CBSE showed sensitivity to the work-life balance of teachers, many of whom are female. This thoughtful decision helps teachers stay refreshed and perform better during evaluation, ensuring a more balanced and sustainable work environment.  

Support during the Kumbh Mela: The second example underscores CBSE's collaboration with local authorities to facilitate the safe travel of students to examination centers during the Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj. Given the magnitude of the event, this plan was essential in ensuring that students could reach their examination centers without any hindrances.

To prevent unhealthy competition among students, CBSE has decided not to prepare or announce any merit list. The Board also does not assign first, second, or third divisions to students. 

However, CBSE will issue Merit Certificates to the top 0.1% of students who have scored the highest marks in each subject. These certificates will be made available in the student’s DigiLocker account.

With the latest development in CBSE rules for students who took the board exams, now class 10 students can appear for two subjects’ supplementary exams.The following category of the students will be eligible to appear in the Supplementary examinations:

1. Class 10 students who failed in up to two subjects who are placed in compartment category
2. Students who were declared by replacing 6th /7th subject can appear in the failed subject
3. Class 10 who were declared pass but wish to improve their performance in 2 and 1 subject respectively

The syllabus for CBSE Supplementary examinations is the same as that of the normal CBSE main exams.

The CBSE Board has set the minimum passing criteria at 33 percent passing performance. This criteria involves passing the theory as well as practical subjects with at least 33 percent marks in order not to fail or reappear for the exams. For subject marks, this implies securing at least 23 marks out of 70 in exams. Students who fall short of the minimum passing marks will be granted grace marks for 1 to 2 marks, only to the deserving students, after thorough discussion among the evaluators. The grace marks are not publicly announced by the board officials.

After the CBSE class 10th result is released, the students must choose between Science, Commerce, or Humanities streams. JNV has the highest pass percentage rate of 99.29% in the CBSE 12th result 2025 where 99.29% students have passed. Kendriya Vidyalaya schools have the 2nd highest pass percentage rate of 99.05%.

The present CBSE post result activities and grievance redressal system is a three-fold linear procedure, mentioned as follows:

2. Obtaining Photocopy of evaluated answer book
3. Re-evaluation

The CBSE Class 10 exams were held from February 15 to March 18, 2025. On the other hand, the CBSE board 12th exams were held from February 15 and wrapped up on April 4, 2025.
