About AIMCET
AIMCET is known as All India MCA common entrance test, which is conducted for candidates who wish to undertake admission in the IIT’s i.e. Indian Institute of Technology specifically in the computer applications at the post graduate level. This examination is conducted at national level directed by IIT Roorkee on the behalf of Ministry of Human resource development, government of India.
The examination comprises of certain eligibility test and it is mandatory for the students to have abided the eligibility criteria for the examinations. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree of any discipline with Mathematics as an additional subject are applicable to sit for these examinations. Mathematics section comprises of Algebra, co-ordinate geometry, calculus, differential equations, vector, trigonometry, probability and statistics and linear programing. The same section includes 100 objective type questions. Another section is that of Computer Awareness which covers computer basics, data representation, computer architecture, computer language, flow chart and Algorithms. There are 40 objective type questions from this section. Logical reasoning and general awareness are the other two sections. The former consists of 40 objective type questions which includes quantitative reasoning, visuo spatial reasoning and the later includes 20 objective type questions. This section carries questions to test the general awareness related to business, finance, industry, transportation, scientific inventions, governance, health care and dimensions.

The entrance examination is scheduled in the first week of June and students can avail their respective admit cards from May 10th. The results for the same are declared between 30th June or 5th July.

Thus, practicing of mock tests will build confidence among the students and will also prepare them for the future examinations. Also there are various books by different authors, so the students need to choose wisely their respective books. Here study material plays a very important role. This is because if the study material is not chosen wisely, students will not be able to understand the required concepts and this would indeed lead to a lot of confusion and chaos in their minds.
