AURCET is popularly known as Andhra University research common entrance test is a university level examination that is conducted by the Andhra University Directorate of examination. The examination is conducted as a criterion for students to get admission into Ph.D and M.phil. Students who have qualified these entrance examinations can apply for the above mentioned courses. Candidates have an option of choosing between full time courses and part time courses. The entrance examinations for both courses mentioned above are usually conducted on the similar day. And as far as the examination results are concerned the results are usually declared one after the examination but in the previous year the results for the same were delayed for a very long time.

Along with the results, Andhra University also releases the rank list of the students and aspirants who have cleared the examination are supposed to attend counseling sessions. The counselling sessions for the same usually starts in the month of December and is extended till January.

Such examinations are not easy to crack. This is because the two above mentioned courses offer great future prospects to the students. Students who have completed the application forms must make sure that they reach the director, directorate of Admission, Andhra University, Vijyanagar palace, Pedawaltair, Vishakapatnam by registered post or in person through a demand draft of a certain amount prescribed by the university. Another significant aspect of such entrance examinations is that of study material. Students need to cover all the topics studied during their master’s program. Not only this, all related topics outside the course books also needs to be studied.
