About COMEDK
COMEDK is an entrance examination that is conducted by the Consortium of Medical engineering and dental colleges of Karnataka for admissions into various engineering colleges and medical degree under graduate courses in the institutes affiliated to it. Candidates are required to apply online for the application forms after meeting the eligibility criteria set by the university board.
There is a certain eligibility criteria for the students who wish to appear for these examinations. Candidates must have passed 10+2 from any recognized university. Candidates must have studied physics, chemistry and maths. Adding on, the minimum aggregate score an aspirant needs to obtain is that of 45 percent. Physics and maths are the compulsory subjects and along with these two subjects there are optional subjects like chemistry, biology and bio technology. Candidates must have also studied English as a compulsory language. The minimum aggregate percentage that is required by the student to write the exam is 45 per cent. These are some set regulations which a candidate is bound to follow. There are no substitutes for these regulations.
Next is the information about the application form. It is important for the candidate to register for COMEDK counseling immediately after the declaration of result. According to the university norms COMEDK counseling will be held in two rounds. The counseling session is only for those candidates who have cleared the written examination. Other candidates will not be allowed to even enter the counseling hall. Candidates attending counseling sessions will have to fill preference of courses, colleges, and seats shall be allotted to them accordingly. There is also a particular date by which students are required to deposit the fee.
