About ISEET
ISEET is popularly known as Indian science engineering eligibility test. ISEET is a common engineering entrance examination that was first proposed by the ministry of human resource development. This was meant as a replacement for the multitude of existing exams but most specifically the Indian institute of technology joint entrance examination and the All India engineering entrance examination. There were different versions of these exams. The first version of the exam was structured to cover admissions to the institutions that were centrally funded. These institutions included Indian institute of technology, national institutes of technology, Indian institutes of information technology, and Indian institutes of science education and research. Apart from these universities, there were also some deemed universities that were covered in ISEET.
ISEET examination comes out various mock tests to provide a vague idea to the students about the pattern. All states in the country have accepted the pattern of common entrance examination. CBSE in collaboration with state boards will be conducting the ISEET examination.
Government of India has announced to conduct common test for all central engineering colleges. These examinations may be conducted twice in a year. This conduction of examination focuses more on the board examinations and ISEET in its true means will test the ability and intelligence of a student. All these shifts have taken place to select students who are deserving and hard working. Thus, it is not that every single person is happy with the decision. There are mixed opinions and feelings when it comes to this examination. Some students and parents feel that it is a great idea as it will indeed save time and money. Whereas some feel that it is not a great idea, as people from rural areas or poor people will not be able to make much out of this move.
As mentioned above, ISEET examination is conducted on two levels. ISEET mains and ISEET advance. ISEET mains are an objective aptitude test which is similar to CAT for IIMS, SAT in USA. All these examinations are conducted to test the English comprehension skills, critical thinking and logical reasoning. All these play an extremely important role when it comes to assessing the capability of the students. Another level is that of ISEET advance. ISEET advance is expected to be advance to the school board curriculum and the level of difficulty is also high. This level is closer to AIEEE.
