About NIT Agartala
The National institute of Agartala is a technologically oriented institute of higher education which is established by the India’s Ministry of Human resource development in Agartala. The institute was founded firstly as a Tripura college of engineering in the year 1965 and later on it was declared as National institute of technology in 2006. In the present day, it is the admission to NIT is particularly done through centrally organized Joint Entrance examination, and NIT Agartala is one of the fastest developing NIT in comparison to others.
It goes without saying that the institute successfully focuses on to improve the economic development of the country particularly the North East states and also through the public systems to make every sort of educational aspects available to the students. The institute has recently introduced undergraduate courses in electrical and electronics engineering, transportation engineering, production engineering and etc. The civil engineering has also successfully started post graduate program in structural engineering to fulfil a state requirement. In addition, the institute also offers nine year undergraduate programs and most of them lead to bachelor of technology degree. Also when it comes to post graduate courses there are courses in chemical engineering, civil engineering, civil and structural engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, instrumentation, and mechanical engineering are also offered. The department of computer science and engineering offers a three year course which leads to masters of computer applications and also doctoral and Ph.D. are offered by some departments as well.
Besides the entire academic structure, the institute also includes a central library and a computer service center with internet access as well as the departmental computer centers. The institute also provides boarding facilities to the students as well as faculty members on the campus. The students also have an option of staying outside the campus and can also study as day scholars.
Every year there are lakhs of students who appear for these examinations and very few of them get selected. Students are supposed to work extremely hard in order to get through the examination. In the present scenario, there are various sample papers and model test papers which provide a great help to the students. These sample papers include all the past year questions and expected questions in the examinations
Not only this, there are also various festivals organized by the students in the institution. Participants from all over the nation come and take part in the same. All such festivals play an important role in the growth and development of students.
