About NIT, Raipur
NIT is popularly known as national institute of technology, Raipur or NIT Raipuris a technical institution funded by the government of India, located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The institute was founded in the year 1956 as Government College of mining and metallurgy, with two engineering disciplines, mining and metallurgy. At present it is one of the national institutes of technology, which have been accorded institute of national importance status by the national institutes of technology act, 2007.
The institute offers two undergraduate (B. tech and B. Arch) and two post graduate programs M. tech and M.C.A in engineering disciplines and architecture. The admissions into bachelor of technology are purely done on the basis of joint entrance examinations. Previously, students were supposed to go through All India entrance examinations, now the pattern has changed. Students are now supposed to sit for joint entrance examinations, and are supposed to clear the cut off decided by the authorities. Every year there are lakhs of students who appear for these examinations and very few of them get selected. Students are supposed to work extremely hard in order to get through the examination. In the present scenario, there are various sample papers and model test papers which provide a great help to the students. These sample papers include all the past year questions and expected questions in the examinations. In a nutshell, it is extremely important for every student to work hard and get through all these examinations. Competition these days has progressively increased, therefore it is always advisable to work hard and stay persistent.
The post graduate courses in NIT are based on the gratitude aptitude test in engineering and for masters of computer applications are done on the basis of NIMCET. There are various reservations policy declared by the supreme court of India, in which 27% of positions are reserved for other backward classes, 15% for scheduled castes, and 7.5% for scheduled tribes.
The institute recently conducted its fourth convocation in which it invited all the those students who have successfully passed degree examination, or post graduate examination during the academic session and also all those scholars who have been declared eligible for the award of Phd degrees to take part in it with their respective parents and guardians.
Not only this, there are also various festivals organized by the students in the institution. Participants from all over the nation come and take part in the same. All such festivals play an important role in the growth and development of students.
