About NIT Uttarakhand
NIT is popularly known as National institute of technology or NIT Uttarakhandand is one of the 30 National institutes of technology in the state of Uttarakhand. The institute started working from the year 2010 and initially there were temporary changes in the location of the campus. Later on all of them were sorted and the campus is now situated in the state of Uttarkahnd.
As far as the admissions are concerned, admissions into the under graduate courses are done purely on the basis of marks scored in the joint entrance examination. Previously, students were supposed to sit for all India entrance examination, but now the pattern for the same has drastically changed. 60% marks scored in these examinations and 40% scored in class 12th are the main areas on which a student is judged for admissions. The examinations consist of three sections such as mathematics, physics, and chemistry. However, as stated above from the year 2013, the admissions were done on the basis of JEE.
The institute also comprise of various departments which play a very important role in the development and growth of a student such as computer science engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electronics and communication. All these fields and department serve different purposes to the students. Placement of candidates are done purely on the basis of subjects opted by the students and the maximum scored.
Every year there are lakhs of students who appear for these examinations and very few of them get selected. Students are supposed to work extremely hard in order to get through the examination. In the present scenario, there are various sample papers and model test papers which provide a great help to the students. These sample papers include all the past year questions and expected questions in the examinations. In a nutshell, it is extremely important for every student to work hard and get through all these examinations. Competition these days has progressively increased, therefore it is always advisable to work hard and stay persistent.
Not only this, there are also various festivals organized by the students in the institution. Participants from all over the nation come and take part in the same. All such festivals play an important role in the growth and development of students.
There are also technical activities such as departmental gathering, workshops, guest lectures and other various competitions organized by the department as well in order to equip students and make them proficient.
