Applications are invited from the eligible and intending candidates to fill up of 1370 post of Constables in Odisha Industrial Security Force(OISF) newly created by the Government of Odisha in prescribed form. The selection of Constables in Odisha Industrial Security Force(OISF) will be made by the State Selection Board, Odisha Police, Cuttack since the Constables in OISF is State Cadre. The application should reach to the concerned Supdt. of Police of the Districts on or before 04.01.2016. Applications received incomplete or after due date will not be entertained.

Besides, the reservation for Home Guards candidates/Ex- Servicemen/Sports person shall be made in accordance with provisions made under such Act, Rules, Orders or Instructions as issued by the Government from time to time.
Age limit to appear in Odisha Police Recruitment 2016 Exam: The age of the candidates should not be less than 18 years or more than 23 years as on 01.01.2015 (upper age is relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC, ST & Women candidates). The age limit for Ex-Servicemen shall be relaxed as per Govt. Rule. Similarly, the age of the Home Guards candidates should not be more than 28 years as on 01.01.2015. The candidates will have to avail only one benefit as indicated above
Qualification Required to Appear in Odisha Constable Recruitment 2016: Candidate must have passed High School Certificate examinations or equivalent examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha or by any other recognised Board / Council. A candidate should be able to speak, read and write Odia and must have passed Odia as one of the subjects in the High School Certificate Examination or an examination in Odia Language equivalent to M.E standard recognised or conducted by the School and Mass Education Department of Government of Odisha.
Other qualification: (i) A candidate must be of good character. (ii) If married, the candidate must not have more than one spouse living. (iii) A candidate must be of sound health and must be free from organic defect and physical deformity. (iv) A Home Guard candidate must have completed 3 years of enrolment without any interruption on the date on which the advertisement for recruitment is published and must have undergone the basic course of training for Home Guards.
