GATE 2022 Update: IIT Kharagpur has released an important update about the GATE 2022 Exam, for which the application correction window is currently going on. The latest update shared by IIT KGP has confirmed that the exam authority has removed one more exam city from the list of centres for then PG Engineering Entrance Exam. Earlier, Haryana based Panipat and Sonepat were removed as exam cities for the GATE 2022 Engineering Entrance Exam. Following this, the recent update also added Idukki, which is a district in Kerala to the list of exam cities that have been removed for this year’s exam. With the removal of Idukki, IIT Kharagpur has removed three cities altogether from the list of exam cities for GATE 2022 examination.

The news about removal of Idukki has also been confirmed by the exam authority through an official notice published on the website. The official website i.e. iitkgp.ac.in reads ““We regret to inform that the exam cities Sonepat, Panipat and Idukki have been cancelled.” The notice further adds that those Candidates who have selected these cities as their preferred exam cities in the application form are requested to change the city choice without additional fees.”
GATE 2022 Application Correction Window Underway
Currently, the exam authority has opened the application correction window for GATE 2022 examination. One of the key fields that are allowed changes or editing during the application correction window is the exam city. Along with the change in the exam cities, aspirants will also be able to edit and modify the following details in their GATE 2022 application form:
- Candidate Category
- Exam Paper
- Examination city
As per the schedule, the application correction window for GATE 2022 exam will conclude on 12th November and candidates are advised to make changes and edit their application forms before that. Candidates will need to use their registration numbers and other required credentials to log onto the portal in order to make changes to GATE 2022 application form.
