Maharashtra SSC, HSC Exam 2022 Update: Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBHSE) has issued an important update about the upcoming SSC and HSC Examination. In its latest order, the State Education Department has clarified that students do not have to be vaccinated in order to appear for the Maharashtra Board 10th and 12th Exam 2022. The official circular in this regard reads “No school or high school should force their students to get the vaccination. Board exam will be open to all students, vaccinated or not.” This essentially means that students do not need to mandatorily get vaccinated in order to be allowed to appear or sit for the MSBHSE HSC and SSC Exam 2022.
Schools Advised to Encourage Not Mandate Vaccination
While the latest order from State Education Board confirms that COVID-19 vaccination will not be a mandatory condition for the students to appear for the board exams, schools have been advised to encourage to get vaccinated. This means that even if students are not inoculated against the COVID-19, they will be able to appear for the HSC and SSC exam, but schools are still required to advise students and parents to help students get vaccinated for their own safety.
Maharashtra Board Exam 2022 Dates
Earlier in the month, Maharashtra Board had announced the exam dates for the SSC and HSC Exams, which are scheduled to be held in offline format. MSBHSE Class 12 Exam 2022 will be held from 4th March to 30th April while practical exams for HSC students are to be held from 14th February to 3rd March 2022. Students Protest Against Offline Exam, Board re-affirms its Stand
Earlier, a group of students started online campaign against SSC and HSC Exams being held in offline format. Students were demanding that in the light of the pandemic threat, Maharashtra Board Class 10 and Class 12 Exams be held in online format, citing health and safety concerns. However, MSBSHSE has reaffirmed its stand on the matter and said that HSC and SSC Board Exams of Maharashtra Board will be held completely online. In a press conference, the MSBSHSE said that there will be no changes in the dates of these examinations as announced earlier.
