Directorate of examination has announced the examination time table for SSLC popularly known as Secondary school leaving certificate for the year 2014. The Tamil Nadu SSLC examinations will be held from 26th March to 9th April. Around 10.5 lakh aspirants will be writing this examination. As far as the divisions of timings are concerned, it goes as follows.
Reading question paper: 9:15 AM to 9:25 AM.
Filling up of particulars in Answer sheet: 9:25 AM to 9:30 AM 
Examination: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM
The directorate of government examinations was formed as a separate executive in Feb 1975. Previously the directorates of government examinations were in Madras. Thus, the government of Tamil Nadu has formed an entirely new board of school examination by combining the two existing separate boards i.e. board of secondary education and board of higher secondary examinations school education department.

However, if the analysis of previous year examination is done of males and females then females came on the top in class ten examinations with nearly 89 per cent of them passing the Tamil Nadu government conducted exam. These examinations were the first set of examinations which were held under the uniform education syllabus. In all 86 per cent of students cleared the examination i.e. 11 lakhs students.

Students can get in touch with the syllabus from the official website. The syllabus is in the form of PDF file. All they need to do is download it and get the matter printed.
