The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) Result 2026 has been released and as per the trends in West Bengal the top students have chosen the courses such as Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), etc.
In the article below, we have analysed the opening and closing ranks of top West Bengal institutes, which shows that CSE still has the lowest opening ranks and narrowest gap between CSE and IT.
Both the CSE and IT courses are driven by almost the same set of companies and require the same set of skills and the recent data show that top rankers are now showing interest in IT at a premier institute over CSE at a lower-tier college.
