WB NEET UG 2026: The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) from the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal, has released a critical notice on Candidature Initialisation & Security Deposit Revision for candidates appearing for the WB NEET UG 2026 Counselling process. The notice is specifically targeted at those candidates who could not get allotted till Round 2 and could not pay the required ₹200,000 security deposit against Private College State Quota seats. In an exceptional case, the WBMCC gives an opportunity to eligible candidates to apply for initialising their candidature so that they can again register themselves and participate anew from Round 3 onwards.
For the same purpose, all concerned candidates need to submit their request officially by sending an e-mail on westbengalcounselingcell@gmail.com during the stipulated time period, i.e., between 16th September 2026 (10:00 AM) and 18th September 2026 (12:00 Midnight). Re-registration would involve a fresh payment of the counselling fee as well as the revised security deposit amount. However, the candidates who had already paid a ₹2.00 lakh security deposit against private state quota seats shall get refunded after the completion of the counselling process, but their initial registration fee would be forfeited.
